Updated Sample Requirements

August 1, 2024

After careful analysis, we are updating our protocol to require 3 fine needle aspiration (FNA) or biopsy tubes for certain services. This change is designed to decrease resubmission rates and improve the efficiency of our ordering process.

Canine Services

  • Personalized Prediction Profile (For Lymphoma)
  • Drug Response Predictions (For Lymphoma)

Feline Services

  • Immunoprofile (For Lymphoma)
  • Flow Cytometry (For Lymphoma)

We recognize the challenges in collecting FNA or biopsy samples from feline patients. To assist, we've compiled a list of biopsy sites that have historically provided the highest cell count and viability:

  • Peripheral lymph nodes (popliteal, prescapular, submandibular)
  • Abdominal/Inguinal
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Mesenteric
  • Mediastinal
  • Peritoneal
  • Pleural Effusions
  • Spleen
  • Liver

Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide faster and higher quality services. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@imprimedicine.com.
