Accepted Sample Types
*After the receipt of the sample at the lab in California
If you have already prepared slides, please send 3 to 4 air-dried, stained slides with thin smears of cells from the suspected neoplastic case along with the FNA and blood samples. If you do not send the prepared slides, we will prepare the slides for an additional fee.
If the original service you ordered is PARR or Multidrug Sensitivity Genotyping (MDR1), you have the option to only send the slides. Collect a biopsy (FNA or tissue) from the affected site(s) and prepare slides, or send 3 to 4 air-dried, stained slides with thin smears of cells from the suspected neoplastic case.
Through your account on our Vet Portal, select services needed. Provide information about your patient and samples on our online portal.
Pack the collected samples (FNA and blood) with ice packs and then ship them to ImpriMed using the boxes and FedEx labels provided.
The cytology report is sent to the ordering veterinarian via secure email within 1 business day. Cytology reports are delivered to you on Mondays through Fridays.
